Who do I copy?

The traders page shows certain key statistics about traders, which can be used to make decisions on who to best copy. Ensure that you do ample research to find traders that fit your desired risk profile. Carboncopy does not offer financial advice. You should make your own investment decisions based on your own financial objectives. Do not invest more than you are prepared to lose.

Will it exit my positions automatically?

Yes, Carboncopy follows the exact buys and sells of the traders you copy. We also redeem positions once market resolution has been reached.

Why didn't a copy trade happen?

Accepted Answer

Copy trades most commonly fail because your account has insufficient funds. If you believe something is off, contact us with the trader you follow and the relevant trades.

Can I set limits on my losses?

Not at the moment, no. But if this is something that you would strongly advocate for, please let us know.

How can I deposit money into my account?

Accepted Answer

All deposits must be USDC on the Polygon network. Funds sent on other networks (Ethereum, Arbitrum, etc.) may require a lengthy manual recovery process. You can deposit money three ways: adding money via MoonPay, tipping your new Polymarket account, or transferring USDC to your proxy wallet on the Polygon network. Carboncopy automatically converts native USDC to pUSD (Polymarket's V2 trading collateral). If you believe you sent funds on the wrong network, contact support@carboncopy.inc immediately.

Who holds my money?

You do! We use Privy, a trusted wallet provider that only gives us permission to perform certain actions on your behalf. You can export your private key at any time and add your wallet to Metamask, or another provider of your choice.

I deposited USDC but my balance hasn't updated. What should I do?

Balances can take a moment to reflect on-chain activity. If it still looks wrong after a few hours, reach out. Sharing the approximate time of your deposit and your wallet address helps us triage quickly.

Where do withdrawals go?

You can withdraw USDC to any wallet you want, but we recommend sending a test transaction to ensure that you are withdrawing to the correct wallet.

How can I convert my USDC to fiat currency?

We are actively working on implementing offramp solutions, but in the time being, you can withdraw your USDC to a crypto exchange such as Coinbase, and transfer it to fiat there.
